Breakfast, Wednesday November 30: spicy eggscuits (liver mush, habanero jack, egg); fruit.
Biscuits are a funny bread. Right out of the oven, so soft, even delicate, moist, but with that little tooth to the crust. An hour later, hockey pucks. (It's always hockey puck. Is there another kind?) So I like to use leftover biscuits with a gravy or sauce like in eggs reddnekt or heat them in a toaster oven for a slider like above. Assemble and wrap in wax paper. Let them sit that way for just a few minutes to help restore the biscuits.
